Counselling

What is counselling?

Counselling is the provision of a special relationship with a trained person who will help you explore difficulties and problems you may be experiencing in your life.

Many people find that talking things through with someone who has been professionally trained to listen and to support can leave them less confused and better able to make choices and changes about how to improve the qality of their lives.

Who comes for counselling?

All of us go through periods when life seems to lose some of its meaning. Memories of the past, painful events in the present and worries about the future can all make it difficult to cope with everyday life.

Sometimes people are lonely, anxious or depressed, worried about their relationships, their marriage or family life. They may be suffering due to bereavement, divorce or separation. Some may want to learn to relate more easily to others or may be looking for more meaning in their lives.

What does it cost?

My normal fee is £40.00 per session. Each appointment lasts for one hour. This is payable in cash or by cheque either at the end of each session or I can invoice you monthly. I charge the same fee for initial appointments even though these may last longer than an hour.

There is a full fee payable for missed appointments without 24 hours notice.
